The newly formed Melbourne band: ‘Citrus’ will be taking over Australia Day for 2018!

Consisting of laneway frequenter, and Japanese native Aki Hotta, Dylan ‘Dizza’ Girotto, Somesh Das and ‘Captain’ Sam Templeton, (the latter 3 providing the rhythm and groove to Bourke St indie funk outfit - Caravan Kids), Citrus will be providing a tasty blend of R&B, Neo-Soul, Indie and funk/fusion vibrations with these boys’ varied musical and cultural backgrounds.

Singer/Songwriter Daniel Shaw, well known as a seasoned Bourke St Mall busking veteran will be opening the show with raw, powerful piano ballads, with a mystery second opening act to be announced shortly.

From Childish Gambino to Thundercat, Chon to Maroon 5, and an array of original soulful R&B music from frontmen Aki, and Dylan with the indie-electronic vibes, Citrus’ debut headlining show is one not to be missed. Stay on the look out for these groovy men on Hardware Lane, Swanston St and the Bourke St Mall throughout the summer festivities.
