Whiskey Hawk are a new band invoking the classic hard rock of the 1970s and psychedelic soundscapes of the 1960s, with a twist of ultra heavy riffs and mind melting twin solos.
Featuring former and current members of Motherslug, Dead City Ruins, Holy Serpent and Galaxy, the five individuals in Whiskey Hawk will invite the audience and listeners to join them on a journey; an epic voyage into a new world both familiar and yet new.
By way of Zeppelin and Sabbath, with a healthy dose of Floydian ambience, the band is inflicted with riffs to move you, drums to shake you and vocals to rattle your soul as you witness them conquer The Workers Club on Sunday November 3.
Joining us on the night are mammoth riff purveyors GIANT, delivering a crushing wall of doom, and El Bebe.
With the Melbourne Cup public holiday on Tuesday the 5th, it's the ideal time to get down to The Workers Club to let loose and witness the rise of Melbourne's hottest new rock band.
Venue Accessibility
The Workers Club (including the band room) is a wheelchair accessible venue. There is a ramped entrance into the front bar from Gertrude St that can be opened with staff assistance. Accessible unisex toilets are located at the back of the venue near the beer garden entrance.
