Rupert Bullard (Single Launch)
with Ally Row, Grand Baxter (Solo)
The Workers Club (Fitzroy, VIC)
Thursday, 31 July 2025 7:00 pm
‘With a voice that carries the rugged beauty of his home island (lutruwita/Tasmania), Rupert Bullard has quickly become a name to watch in the Australian roots scene.’ - Frankie Anderson-Byrne, Forte Magazine
Rupert Bullard's stage presence and captivating storytelling ability have led him to perform at major festivals and headline shows, showcasing his unique blend of folk, country, and blues.
He released his self-produced debut EP Mountains, Rivers EP in late 2024, supported by extensive touring throughout TAS, VIC, QLD, and NSW — selling out headline shows and sharing stages with the likes of Ash Grunwald, as well as appearing at Woodford and Party in the Paddock.
On Thursday 31 July, Rupert returns to The Workers Club in Fitzroy to launch his new single Stand By The Land, supported by Ally Row — a triple j Unearthed-winning folk rock/alt-country duo, blending genres with toe-tapping music and heartfelt lyricism — and Grand Baxter (solo), from the forests of eastern Melbourne, an alt-folk act combining earnest songwriting, rich textures of guitar and strings, and humble folk charm.
‘Rupert Bullard’s vocal abilities paired with the rambling picking of his guitar resembled that of a young Bob Dylan, and yet the ode to his deep connection with nature and kin spoke to myth and story of old.’ - Jacob McCormack, Forte Magazine.
We acknowledge that this event is being held on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong / Boon Wurrung peoples and pay our respects to their ancestors past, present, and emerging. Sovereignty was never ceded.
