Bombshell Interview (single launch) with Dear Judy and Swordfish
The hot new Bombshell Interview take to the stage at The Workers Club to celebrate the release of their second single, Cactus Bones. Blending indie-rock with a swath of genre influences, this band's set ranges from racing post-punk, jovial funk-rock and earnest folk ballads, meaning there is sure to be something for everyone.
Supporting them is Dear Judy, fronted by keyboardist and singer/songwriter Toby Aitken. This crew is bound to bring a little skip to your step with their piano-centric rock that is simultaneously tender, groovy and jaunty. If you close your eyes, you might feel as though you’re watching Elton John, Steely Dan or Ben Folds Five.
Last but not least is Swordfish, a five-piece indie alt-funk outfit that is sure to bring the energy! Walking the worlds of funk, soul and indie-rock, this group gets you up and moving whether you like it or not. Look out for the flavours of Prince, Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Buckley and Jimi Hendrix as you groove along to this cool cast.
Come on down and support emerging live music in Naarm on October 15 at Workers Club. See you there!
