Members Byron Davis, Hayden Davis, Hayden Samuels (no relation) and Luke Vella have been performing live music throughout Sydney since 2017 and have subsequently become entrenched in the inner-west music scene. In the last two years alone, the band have performed a total of 48 times to packed out audiences at venues such as Oxford Art Factory, the Lansdowne, La La La’s, King Street (Newcastle) and the Factory Theatre as well playing events such as King Street Crawl and Parramatta Lanes.

As of January 2026, the group have released two, five-track EPs with the fan-favourite track Cruisers and Carltons quickly taking on a life of its own, becoming their most streamed song to date and appearing in numerous curated Spotify playlists. Since their respective releases, songs from both EPs have received airplay on local radio stations throughout NSW including FBI Radio. In 2026, The Bancrofts are embarking on their biggest tour to date up and down Australia’s east coast this Autumn.
