The 6V6s are a hard rock band from Melbourne, formed in 2023, built to elevate the sound of one of the genre’s most promising young singer/guitarists.
With a focus on raw energy and explosive performances, their music blends classic guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and powerful vocals to create a sound that resonates with both traditional rock fans and modern audiences.
At the heart of the band is Willie J Maxwell, whose talent and stage presence provide the perfect foundation for the band’s intense energy.
The lineup is completed by Callum Leavey on drums and Sebastian Robertson on bass, providing tight, solid rhythms which form the backbone for the band’s powerful sound.
Together, the trio has quickly established themselves as a force on the live circuit, performing over 100 live shows throughout 2024 and securing 2025 shows with Rose Tattoo and a spot at Mitchell Creek Rock and Blues Festival.
Drawing influence from rock and soul legends, the band entered the studio in 2024 and subsequently released their first single “Love On The Loose”, injecting their own fresh take on the genre.
The 6V6s are redefining rock for a new generation. With a sound that’s impossible to ignore and a growing reputation, they are a band to watch as they continue to make their mark on the Australian rock scene.
