Me In A Dream
with Texas Milk Bar + The Moops
The Workers Club (Fitzroy, VIC)
Thursday, 11 June 2026 7:00 pm
Me In A Dream is the 4-piece indie-rock band from Naarm
(Melbourne), comprising of front man Chris Pehrson on guitar
and lead vocals, Rosie Stone Valentine on bass and backing
vocals, Michael Cathie on drums and Liz Bandara on keys.
Drawing on influences from the Brit alt-rock scene, including
Foals, Doves, White Lies and Bloc Party, then injecting
thoughtful melodies and an occasional, but distinctly
Australian psychedelic edge reminiscent of Holy Holy and The
Belligerents, finally stirring a healthy dose of electronic
textures, Me In A Dream carves out a unique sound that
dances freely across genre boundaries.
Don’t miss this evening of live music as Me In A Dream
perform a dynamic set, including single, Hideaway. Me In A
Dream are supported by Texas Milk Bar and The Moops.
Drawing inspiration from roadside culture, VHS-era
advertising, and the strange poetry of everyday Australian
suburbia, Texas Milk Bar craft songs that feel like half-
remembered dreams – neon signs flickering, ice cream
freezers humming, and a radio playing something slightly off-
station.
Born out of Melbourne’s backstreets and bar rooms, The
Moops drift between genres like a late-night radio dial –
eclectic, energetic and steeped in groove-soaked rhythms.
