The Lotus Seven is a Melbourne based band that plays a mixture of pop music with funky horn lines, cool arrangements of jazz standards as well as original compositions.
The Lotus Seven band started out at the end of last year. Our trombonist and vocalist Giorgia Smith brought together 6 other talented musicians to form the band performing on Sunday 16th of March.
Our horn section is comprised of Riley Brennan on trumpet, Conor Boussioutas on saxophone and Giorgia Smith on trombone. The rhythm section includes Khanh Pham on piano, Pacey Dunshea on bass, Zoe Kinsella on drums and Keira Murugasu on guitar and lead vocals.
This is the band’s first headlining show and we’re so excited to perform live for the first time this year.
In our set you will hear a range of music from ‘I Put a Spell on You’ by Nina Simone to ‘Hot to Go’ by Chappell Roan. This show will also feature 2 original compositions, one by our trumpet player Riley Brennan and the other by our saxophonist Conor Boussioutas.
