Once banned in Singapore for fronting a riot-starting punk band, Melbourne’s own Sanny Veloo has risen through loss, reinvention and sheer defiance to become one of Australia’s most electrifying new rock voices.

Veloo’s music carries a message of unity, compassion and love — a call for truth, peace, right action and non-violence in a time when Australia is fractured by division and hate. His debut album is more than a record; it is a rallying cry for a revolution of kindness, an alternative rock answer to Bob Marley’s vision of music as a force of healing.

After selling out headline shows in Melbourne and Singapore, tearing up the East Coast with his band, supporting Fall Out Boy and British India, and collaborating with Gotye and G Flip, Melbourne’s alt-rock phoenix now unleashes his long-awaited debut album, produced by ARIA Award-winner Michael Badger (Amyl & the Sniffers, King Gizzard).

Expect swaggering riffs, soaring guitar solos, festival-sized choruses, and raw heart-on-sleeve storytelling as Veloo and his band celebrate a record two years in the making and their first East Coast tour.

With a stacked lineup of support:

Kittyhawks – Ska-punk superheroes fresh off major festival slots and international tours. Their debut single Danger in the Middle earned Triple J airplay and was hailed by Ska Nation Radio as “the best Australian ska release in many years.”

Danger Den – Darwin-born, Melbourne-based pop-punk band known for their high-energy performances and emotionally resonant songs. With a full-length album under their belt, NT Music Award recognition, and their latest single Daisy (named after the band’s beloved dog), they are proving themselves as one of the hottest new names in Australian pop punk.

Kaiyah Mercedes – At just 18, this LGBTQIA+ artist is redefining Melbourne’s indie-pop rock scene. With fearless lyricism, cinematic sound, and shows that celebrate queer and neurodivergent voices, Kaiyah’s performances are raw, immersive, and absolutely unforgettable.

Come for the music, stay for the community. Sanny Veloo shows are the kind of nights where you will sing with strangers and probably make a new friend before the encore. Don’t miss the birth of an album and be part of an electrifying new moment in Australian rock!
