Back in the M.E.L.B.! Last year Nevena did a farewell gig at Workers and left Aussie shores for the windmilled Netherlands, and is now back home for almost a month.
Having done successful and sold-out shows over the years at some of Melbourne's beloved venues (Paris Cat Jazz Club, The Workers Club, The Toff in Town, Open Studio), Nevena has been on hiatus for over a year and is stoked to hit the stage again.
As someone who has sung all her life in a variety of ways (chorale, jazz quartet, duo), a few years ago Nevena started writing songs and released her debut singer-songwriter EP, 'In the Lines of Your Palms' (available on Spotify, Apple Music, etc), a hotchpotch of baroque pop, indie folk, and bluesy jazz.
This August show will see Nev—accompanied by award-winning Melbourne jazz pianist, Ryley Duncan—do a selection of songs that soundtracked her Aussie life from 1994 until 2024, along with some other gems.
