With a unique sound that blends indie rock, alt-punk and the lilting melodies of folk, up-and-coming artist Lolitah takes to the stage for her debut show at the Workers Club, after supporting the Benzenes on their Aromatic Tour around Melbourne.
Pairing honest lyrics, rich powerful vocals, and the groovy melodies and riffs from her band, Lolitah endeavours to connect with audiences through storytelling, and create a conversation of comfort, emotional complexity and care.
Co-headlining with Moth, an alternative indie rock band keeping the genre real and raw. With influences from artists such as Big Thief, Elliott Smith, Alex G and Playboi Carti, Moth’s sound contains soft, warm vocals, melancholic lyrics, and angst-driven guitar trying to pull away from commercialisation and create music that gives you a hug. Writing songs about the parts of ourselves that we feel afraid to share with others, Moth is #KeepingItReal.
Together with special guest and friend Kalo Davis – who brings his beautiful voice, impressive guitar playing and skilled musicianship together to create a captivating one-man performance – Lolitah and Moth invite you to join them for a night of hearing what young artists can do.
