Get ready for Solmaye, a fresh upcoming soul/R&B band performing their debut headline gig at The Workers Club, supported by YOOF and Misa and Brad.
Made up of 5 talented jazz uni students, Solmaye aims to bring out the best qualities in soul/R&B music that differentiates it from other genres. Melodic vocal runs, lush harmonies, and smooth sax solos are what you can expect in this night of soul-stirring music.
Solmaye is influenced by artists of different eras of soul/R&B, whether it be Donny Hathaway and Etta James from the 70s, or Frank Ocean from the 2010s. Both Solmaye’s originals and covers dabble in these different eras whilst bringing their own innovative spin.
Be prepared for a night of feel-good soul-soothing music!
